"Voices of the Camp Meetings"
From the 1800s to the 1930s, camp meetings were the most exciting religious and social events of the year in Central New Jersey's Sourland Mountain Region. Most of our knowledge about these camp meetings come from oral histories, re-recorded here by SSAAM leaders and descendants of the region's Black founding families.
